Gov. Yusuf Appoints 2 New Permanent Secretaries

Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State on Friday appointed two new permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

This is contained in a statement issued by Malam Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor in Kano.

The new permanent secretaries took their oath of office on Friday at Aminu Kano House, popularly known as the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, as administered by the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Haruna Dederi.

The appointees are Mr Mustapha Nuraddeen as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice/Solicitor General, and Malam Isyaka Umar as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Land and Physical Planning.

The governor enjoined them to discharge their responsibilities in accordance with civil service rules and regulations.

“We are concerned about the condition of the civil service, we will do everything humanly possible to reform it as a vehicle through which we deliver good governance to our teaming population,” Yusuf assured.

The governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to restoring the lost glory of Kano civil service to ease the operation of the government.
