E-Commerce Coy begins Campaign to Curb Fraud

An e-commerce company, QNET, says it has started a campaign to curb fraudulent activities related with online transactions.

Biram Fall, the Regional General Manager of QNET Sub-Saharan Africa, said this in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos.

He said the initiative, which would be executed over a period of three months, would utilise a strategic mix of ‘Above The Line’ (ATL) and ‘Below The Line’ (BTL) advertising techniques to educate and engage Nigerians.

Fall said with focus on outdoor advertising, traditional media channels, and the Nairaland forum, QNET aimed to offer Nigerians invaluable knowledge and resources to safeguard them from potential scams.

“This multifaceted campaign is designed not only to create trust and a sense of understanding within the community but also to equip consumers with the essential knowledge required to make well-informed purchasing choices.

“By cultivating an atmosphere characterised by trust and accountability, QNET aspires to contribute to the economic prosperity of Nigerians and foster a culture of responsible entrepreneurship in the nation.

“This campaign comes at a crucial time when awareness about authentic direct-selling businesses is paramount,” Fall said.

He said the social awareness campaign in Nigeria was a crucial step in equipping Nigerians with the tools to differentiate between legitimate offerings and fraudulent schemes.

Fall said the campaign would ultimately create a safer and more informed consumer landscape. NBS And The Task of Delivering Reliable National Data
