Inter booked their place in the Europa League Semi-finals with a victory over Bayer Leverkusen yesterday. Nicolo Barella opened the score sheet with a goal in the fifteenth minute before it was doubled by Romelu Lukaku who held off Edmond Tapsoba and turned in a low finish in the 21st minute.
With his brilliant goal scoring form in the Europa League, Lukaku set a record of being the only player to score in 9 games in a row in the history of #EuropaLeague/#UEFACup.
Lukaku squandered a golden chance to extend Inter’s lead moments later, and he was made to pay as kai havertz fired in from close range.
Alexis Sanchez and Victor Moses both pressed hard for a third goal but was denied by Lukas Hradecky whomade fine saves.
