The remains of Senator Buruji Kasamu was today laid to rest today at Ijebu Igbo. Buruji who died at the First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos on Saturday, August 8, 2020 due to covid complications was aged 62,He represented the Ogun East Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly and also contested the gubernatorial ticket of the state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections.

Loyalist and sympathizers trooped out in numbers to honor the late senator. Dapo Abiodun,Ogun State Governor was amongst dignitaries that bidded the politician a farewell.Kashamu arrived from Lagos on Saturday night in Ogun for burial.
